J'ai voulu partager avec vous le petit challenge qu'on a fait à Béziers
avec mes chères copines de patch.
Nous étions huit et nous avons choisi le tissu japonais et chez Maryse et
autour d'une grande table nous avons commencé avec un "fat".
C'est à dire un carré de 50cm x 50cm à peu près.
On a coupé le tissu en deux et on a passé le moitié à la voisine de gauche,
Avec le nouveau morceau, on l'a coupé en deux et l'a passé à gauche encore.
On a continué jusqu'à ce que nous ayons eu huit morceaux de tissu,
du grand au petit.
Le petit était un carré de 2cm environ.
Avec ces 8 morceaux de tissus, on avait deux mois pour faire un petit ouvrage,
en utilisant tous les tissus.
Et voilà j'ai fait un sac!!
I thought you might like to know about a challenge I did with my dear patchwork friends from Béziers.
Eight of us got together round a large table at Maryse's house
with a fat quarter of Japanese fabric.
We had already chosen the theme for the fambric beforehand.
We cut the fat quarter into half and passed the one half to our neighbour on the left.
We then cut the new half into half again and passed half of that to our neighbour
on the left, once again.
And so we continued until we had cut all the fabric, finishing
with eight pieces of varying sizes, the smallest being around one inch square.
With these eight pieces we had to make something using all the fabric
and we planned to meet up again in two months time.
Et voilà mon résultat.
So here was my finished piece. In my next blog post, I want to show you what amazing pieces
of work my friends came up with.
